Vinyl Lettering - The Ideal Signage Solution

Vinyl is one of the most traditionally used materials in the signage industry. The reason for this is because it's cost effective, relatively easy to work with and it's flexible enough to suit most projects. It has always been the material to fall back on when other materials end up being either too expensive or unsuitable or impractical to manufacture.

Vinyl is available in a magnificent range of colours from pale shades to vibrant and bold colours which grabs your customers’ attention and gives an impact which is in-your-face. Alternatively, we can also use a plain white vinyl and print your own design onto it using any mix of colours on our digital printing machines. These types of signs are commonly used for greasy spoon cafes as we’re able to create a sign which is of great detail such as a photo for example.

Vinyl is brilliant for creating sharp lines for fonts and accurate shapes for lettering and logos and it is used on a majority of signs from front of shop signs to vehicle graphics.

Because vinyl film is incredibly flexible, it can be used as a solution to create signs which may otherwise be impossible to create. You may for example want stand-off lettering to give a 3D effect but you may need the lettering to be an unusual pantone colour not available for 3D lettering so then the solution would be to print the pantone colour onto a vinyl and then apply it on to the 3D letters and you’d be none-the-wiser that this method was used.

Individually Cut Vinyl Decals & Letters

Vinyl lettering and vinyl decals are often cut from a sheet of vinyl which can be transferred onto a clean smooth surface such as a glass window of painted wall. The letters or logo are made up of individual pieces of vinyl which can be as simple or complex as you wish.

There are a vast range of pre-coloured vinyl which can be used to create the design you require and they're often available in a number of finishes such as gloss or matt. The vinyl can be cut in reverse or back-to-front so that it can be applied to the reverse side of a window which allows you to clearly read the text from the outside of the building or they can be applied to the outside of the premises.

Most vinyl has a UV protection film which ensures the colours don't fade however please check with one of our representatives beforehand to ensure the graphics you require has this feature.

If you need a specific pantone colour for your vinyl graphics then we're able to print this colour for you onto a white vinyl to ensure you get the right colour.

Large Format Printed Window Graphics

Digitally printed vinyl graphics are a fantastic method of printing in full colour and at a high resolution. This type of window signage is designed to be eye-catching and durable. Digitally printing means you’re not charged per colour you can be really creative and have the shop or office display exactly as you want it.

Whether it’s a sequence of individually placed printed manifestations running along a glass corridor or a long window display, we’re able to work with your ideas to create a range of designs so suit your needs.

As standard, the materials we use at Surrey Shop Signs are matte or gloss vinyl which has a semi-permanent adhesive and which is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

The window graphics can be printed onto a white vinyl which completely blocks out light and vision, or it can be printed onto a clear vinyl which allows light and partial vision to pass through the window.

Graphics on Clear Vinyl Backing

Opening times for shop doors or windows can be produced in a number of ways to display useful information which is clear and easy to read as well as not to block out visibly.

By printing onto a clear vinyl, we’re able to print both small and large text and images and ensure a flawless finish. Printing white onto a clear vinyl is one of the most popular methods of producing shop opening times, however we are able to print a full colour digital image if this is what’s required. The vinyl can be applied to the inside of the glass to protect it from getting damaged, or alternatively we are able to print the stickers so that they can be applied to the outside of the shop window.

Frosted Window Graphics

Frosted Vinyl Decals & Manifestations

Etched glass effect stickers and frosted vinyl graphics can be used to create privacy, subtly advertisement for your company as well as complying with important health and safety requirements.

Health and Safety regulations state that large areas of glass have to be marked and lighted to prevent people walking into them so with an etched glass effect window, there’s practically no chance of someone making that mistake!

Whether it’s a sequence of individually placed frosted manifestations running along a glass corridor or a long vinyl banner, we’re able to work with your ideas to create a range of designs so suit your needs.

The etched vinyl film is cut with precision and then applied to by our trained technicians to the inside of the window which faces out onto the street which protects the film from the elements and vandals.
